Welcome back!
[Last time], we finally booted up the MacBook Pro and went through all the initial setup process. Now, it’s time to configure this Mac as our new machine, taking care of all the little quirks that make the Mac Experience _special!_
[Last time], we covered the unboxing experience of this new M3 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro. Today, we look at what happens during the set-up phase. I have taken pictures with my iPhone because one cannot capture the screen during the boot’s process (easily).
[Last time,] we covered the poor experience I had with fetching my new Mac at the Apple Store. Presently, instead, I’m writing this article already on the new machine, completely set up. A few files still reside on the old Mac and will be transferred soon enough, but I would like you to know that I’m now up and running and delighted with it.
The time is nigh to go fetch the long awaited “maxi” boy from the Apple Store. I decided to have it delivered there because of recent thefts in the hall of my building. Granted, those all happened with Amazon couriers, who are given far too many daily deliveries compared to what they can humanly handle. They therefore just ring the entry phone, run inside, and leave your package unattended. Couriers handling Apple shipments are given precise instructions to deliver only manually to the recipient and, recently, have started to ask for a PIN code. I didn’t want to risk it this time, though.
