Updated Edition: Verdi Va’, pensiero
It was a busy month because I started to work on the Projeto Puccini so I could only update one edition, the Va’, pensiero from the Opera “Nabucco” by Giuseppe Verdi, arranged for Cello Ensemble (min. 8 players). It is available both in its original key of F-sharp major and in a friendlier G major. Find it here. R6

New Editions
Dedicated to the loving memory of the late Maestro Antonio Meneses who left us this past August after a quick and terrifying illness, I partnered with Brazilian cellist Raïff Dantas Barreto to give birth to Meneses’s last great project, the Projeto Puccini! It consists of seven among the most famous arias of the Italian master whose 100th anniversary of death was celebrated on November 29th, 2024, masterfully arranged for voice and a group of five cellos. To give more options of performance, all arias can be soloed by an additional cello, and all female arias can be soloed by a violin. The separate arias are available only in digital form, while the bundle will be available only in printed format. Please find more about each one of them here:

December
In the last month of the year, I prepared two new editions. The first is the complete book of the Projeto Puccini, which I would have liked to realise in a format similar to this:

My printer, though, hastily said they cannot do that because it would be too expensive (probably because I’m only ordering a dozen copies). They proposed me a couple of alternative solutions, but the price per copy was still too high fora result I would have not been satisfied with. I therefore put the project in hibernation until January, when another printer promised a quote for exactly what I need. I will let you know how it goes. N25
In the meantime, I ordered four new editions to be printed by my main printer in Germany and I hope they will become available before the end of January. Stay tuned for that.
The second edition of the month, and last one of the year, is the Chanson Triste N° 2 from Twelve Pieces of moderate difficulty for Piano solo, Op. 40, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, arranged for Cello and Piano by David Popper. The reasons behind this edition is explained in my January 2025 newsletter. You can find it on Gumroad and on Payhip, and you can listen to how it sounds here. If you are part of my mailing list, you will get this completely for free! N26
Bottom Line
So, with twenty-six new editions published, and six old editions reviewed, I believe I can look back at 2024 as a great year! Perhaps not in revenues, but at least I am truly building something designed to last!
Please let me know what you think of this, what was your favourite edition of the year, and what you would like to see in 2025 from ASE. Any specific wish?
As always, I value your input, comments, and feedback!
You can join my mailing list here to get weekly gifts and promotions, browse my catalogue here, and check what’s available for print in the HNE Store. My YouTube channel, finally, contains video renditions of most of my editions.
Thank you for being a most valuable part of my journey through music publishing! I couldn’t do this without you!
I wish you a marvellous New Year in music, health
