La Bergamasque — Episode 3

Together with Gioachino **Rossini** (1792–1868), Gaetano **Donizetti** (1797–1848) was one of the greatest Italian opera composers of the first half of the XIX century to dedicate himself with assiduity and commitment to instrumental music, a production almost entirely relegated to his years of apprenticeship.

Arrangements — Episode 3

_Goyescas,_ an opera in one act and three tableaux by Spanish composer Enrique **Granados** (1867–1916), saw the light in 1915, based on the libretto by Fernando **Periquet** y Zuaznaba and based on melodies taken from the eponymous Suite for piano solo written by Granados himself four years before.
