The time is nigh to go fetch the long awaited “maxi” boy from the Apple Store. I decided to have it delivered there because of recent thefts in the hall of my building. Granted, those all happened with Amazon couriers, who are given far too many daily deliveries compared to what they can humanly handle. They therefore just ring the entry phone, run inside, and leave your package unattended. Couriers handling Apple shipments are given precise instructions to deliver only manually to the recipient and, recently, have started to ask for a PIN code. I didn’t want to risk it this time, though.

Purchasing a new computer comes in several phases: planning, configuring, ordering, fetching, and configuring. If one is upgrading their main working machine, then it is even more important to get through most steps in the smoothest way possible.

Welcome to the first update for _Fall 2023,_ live from Italy, where we came back to at the end of September.

I apologise for not sending updates during September and October, but after the events of the beginning of July, I didn’t feel the usual drive to write.

La Bergamasque—Episode 1

This is the first edition of a new series dedicated to the city of Bergamo, Italy. It takes its name from the popular dance from the Renaissance period of the same name, _La Bergamasque!_
